Mile High City

I had the opportunity to take a trip out to Denver, Colorado this past week and fell in love with the city! The city sits a mile above sea level! There are so many fun things to do at virtually no cost! I was also able to see my brother, Ryan whom I haven't seen in a whole eight years! Crazy right? That is just way to long not see your siblings!  My brother Jared just recently relocated to Denver also. So now I have both of my brothers in the same place! My mom and I were flying my Niece, Jorden out there to help my brother enroll her in school and get her all set up! I was able to stay for a whole nine days! Here are a few things I got to see and do during my stay in Denver, CO. I hope you enjoy!

The first thing we checked out was Hammond's Candy Factory. They give free tours every weekend and at the end they even give you a free piece of candy! How cool is that? We were able to get there by the light rail train, bus and taxi. It was an adventure finding our way that's for sure! Jorden was absolutely amazed! She has decided that she wants to be a "Candy Maker" when she grows up!

The next day we decided to drive up to Golden Gate Canyon State Park! After driving all the way up in the mountains we were able to enjoy stunning mountain views! I must say, I could get used to the smell of crisp mountain air and scenery to die for! It was absolutely amazing! I am planning a camping trip next time I visit Colorado!

My brother Ryan and I decided to go biking around the city. Denver B Cycle provides bicycles and parking racks all over the city. You can rent one for just $8.00. I got to bike the entire city and see everything! What a great way to get around! The fact that you can get to around by bicycle, skateboard, bus, train and taxi is all very convenient!
A tribute to the unforgettable Robin Williams!

Everyone is so friendly, even the squirrels!

If you ever have a chance to visit beautiful Colorado, I suggest you do! The scenery is amazingly beautiful and there is such an array of different types of people that live in the city and all around. I will be planning a trip back in the very short future!
